AP Accountant
Function
As AP Accountant You will be responsible for ensuring that accounts payable are processed correctly and efficiently. You will ensure that incoming invoices are processed promptly, accurately and in accordance with the applicable rules.
Here’s what your role will involve:
- Checking incoming invoices, purchase credit notes and expense claims;
- Recording incoming invoices and ensuring they are approved in a timely manner;
- Responsible for the accurate general and analytical processing of purchase invoices;
- Ensure that costs are correctly allocated to the relevant period, cost account and cost centre, including the application of the correct VAT rules;
- Monitoring and ensuring timely payments to suppliers;
- Entering bank statements into the system on a daily basis (Coda);
- Day-to-day contact with suppliers and dealing with enquiries, issues, reminders and outstanding balances;
- Maintaining supplier ledgers;
- Updating and monitoring master data;
- Proactively contributing to the efficient running and optimisation of processes;
- Monitoring and applying for bank guarantees and insurance policies (ABR/BA and fire insurance for rented premises);
Profile
What do they expect from you?
- A bachelor’s degree Accountancy-Taxation or an equivalent qualification;
- A first relevant work experience or work placement;
- You work meticulous, analytical and whilst meeting deadlines;
- Good knowledge of Excel;
- Experience with a ERP system is a plus;
- You communicate fluently in the Dutch and have a good basic understanding of the French;
