Asset Manager

Function

As an Asset Manager, you are responsible for managing and optimising the organisation’s rolling stock. You ensure that the fleet is deployed safely, efficiently and in accordance with the applicable regulations to support a wide range of projects. Your duties include, amongst other things:

Management and maintenance

• Responsible for the efficient operation of the rolling stock
• Carrying out both preventive and corrective maintenance
• Preparing and managing maintenance records, quotations and documentation for parts, repairs and replacements
• Drawing up, managing and monitoring annual maintenance budgets
• Efficiently optimising maintenance costs by balancing internal and external maintenance

Operational follow-up

• Monitoring the technical condition and operational readiness of the rolling stock
• Monitoring correct and safe use through site visits and on-site inspections
• Monitoring usage and organising training courses for staff on the equipment
• Implementing corrective measures when unsafe situations are identified

Investments and optimisation

• Actively contribute to the investment programme by gathering input from across the organisation
• Preparing purchase files in collaboration with the procurement department
• Monitoring the utilisation rate of equipment and providing a basis for investment decisions
• Encouraging synergies and ensuring the optimal use of equipment across different units

Team and collaboration

• Managing technical staff at various locations within the organisation
• Working effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers and auditors
• Evaluating suppliers and actively contributing to the continuous improvement of processes

Compliance and safety

• Ensuring compliance with all legal obligations and internal procedures
• Actively contributing to security policy and carrying out incident analyses
• Integrating sustainability considerations, such as the CO₂ Performance Ladder, into decision-making and business processes

Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• You hold a technical qualification or have equivalent experience gained through relevant work, with a demonstrable interest in large rolling stock
• You have experience in asset management, technical management or fleet management within an industrial or infrastructure environment
• You have an analytical mind and know how to turn data into concrete actions
• Safety is of the utmost importance to you: you have a keen awareness of safety and ensure that equipment is used correctly and safely
• You possess motivational leadership skills and know how to effectively manage and support technical teams
• You are customer-focused, understand the business’s needs and translate these into an efficient and optimally available fleet of machinery
• You communicate clearly and are able to convey complex technical information clearly to a variety of audiences
