Assistant architect

Function

The following tasks await you:;

• You will be responsible for the following from start to finish: hospitality projects throughout Belgium: from planning to implementation.
• You will develop plans and apply existing concepts from a technical perspective to specific interior design projects.
• You follow along carefully in Archicad and assists with the preparation of implementation dossiers.
• You will draw up bills of quantities and provide support with cost estimates, budget monitoring and tender documents.
• You will collect, organise and check project information, drawings and supporting documents.
• You will support the administrative management of projects and the commercial preparatory phase.
• You will follow up on agreements, deadlines and actions with clients, contractors, subcontractors and external partners.
• In due course, you’ll accompany the team to construction sites and help ensure that the work is carried out in a practical and well-organised manner.
• You’ll contribute ideas on efficient working structures within the team and learn, step by step, how to manage a project from preparation through to completion.

Profile

Who are you?

• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, architectural draughtsmanship, interior architecture, interior design or an equivalent qualification or experience.
• You have just completed your bachelor’s or master’s degree and are looking for your first exciting work experience, or you have already been working in a similar role for three years.
• You have a keen interest in commercial fit-out projects, the hospitality sector, retail and technical implementation.
• You have extensive experience with Archicad or can demonstrate that you are able to learn the programme quickly and thoroughly.
• You are proficient in using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• You communicate clearly and enjoy working with project managers, interior designers, clients and contractors.
• You are meticulous, organised and responsible: even a minor mistake can have consequences when a construction site is operating under time pressure.
• You are able to work independently, but you ask for information in good time when necessary.
• You speak and write Dutch well. Knowledge of French is an advantage.
• You are willing to make regular trips to construction sites and clients in the long term.
