Function

As a Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for calculating costs and preparing quotations for innovative projects within HVAC and industrial refrigeration. You will play a key role in translating technical requirements into concrete and feasible solutions. Your role will involve:

• Analysing technical enquiries and preparing cost estimates.
• Use of Excel and other tools to carry out calculations and draw up quotations.
• Consult with suppliers and customers to discuss prices and clarify details.
• Visiting construction sites to take measurements and assess projects.
• Active participation in technical meetings and brainstorming sessions.
• Working alongside the sales and engineering teams to develop comprehensive solutions.

Profile

We are looking for someone who is ready for a challenging role in a forward-looking sector. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field such as electromechanics, HVAC, energy technology or a similar course is essential.
• You have a strong affinity for or interest in engineering, and specifically in HVAC or refrigeration technology.
• Initial experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a technical context is an advantage, but not essential.
• You have a good working knowledge of Excel and are confident in carrying out calculations in software programmes.
• You are keen to learn, meticulous and have a problem-solving mindset.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch.

In addition, we expect a hands-on approach and a strong sense of responsibility.

Based in Dendermonde, they deliver innovative cooling and heat pump systems for industrial clients, with a focus on natural refrigerants, bespoke solutions and technical expertise. From engineering and automation to pipework, installation and commissioning: our client offers turnkey solutions for complex technical projects. To strengthen the team, they are currently looking for a quantity surveyor.
