Chief Accountant

Function

We are looking for a Finance Chief Accountant on behalf of our client. In this role, you will play a key part within the finance team and ensure that management has access to accurate and relevant information.

You will combine accounting, financial reporting and analysis. You will check figures, produce reports, support the budgets and forecasts, and actively contribute ideas on how to improve financial processes and make them more efficient.

• You prepare various monthly management reports.
• Your role will involve analysing, amongst other things, margins, stock levels, investments, projects and staff costs.
• You will prepare reports for various departments and translate financial figures into actionable insights for management.
• You carry out checks on the month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Where necessary, you will assist your colleagues with the year-end closing procedures.
• You analyse existing financial processes and working procedures.
• You will act as a co-point of contact during internal and external audits.

Profile

• You have solid initial experience in finance.
• You must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related subject.
• Experience in a production environment is a major asset.
• You have a good knowledge of Excel.
• You speak and write fluent Dutch and English.
