Consumer Credit Adviser

Function

As a Consumer Credit Adviser, you’ll support customers with their financing needs. You’ll listen, ask the right questions, assess their financial situation and work towards a credit solution that is both responsible and feasible. You’ll combine commercial acumen with sound financial insight.

Tasks

• Advising customers on consumer credit and financing options
• Discuss customers’ financial situation and credit requirements in detail
• Preparing credit applications and ensuring they are processed correctly from an administrative point of view
• Analysing files and gathering the necessary information
• Guiding customers through the entire credit process
• Actively follow up with existing customers and identify opportunities
• Translating more complex questions into clear and understandable advice
• Working with colleagues to process cases efficiently
• Organise your own schedule, appointments and follow-up tasks independently

Profile

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, but who also enjoys working with figures and files. Do you have commercial drive and are you prepared to take a critical look at a credit application? If so, that’s already a major asset.

You recognise yourself (largely) in the following:

• You must have at least a bachelor’s degree
• Experience in lending, banking or financial services is a major asset
• Having a PCP qualification is a bonus; those currently training for a PCP qualification are open to discussion
• You have a commercial mindset and are confident in approaching customers
• You listen carefully and ask specific questions
• You work with attention to detail and take responsibility for your cases
• You are assertive enough to handle even difficult conversations
• You think in terms of solutions, but you don’t lose sight of the risks
• You take the initiative and don’t just wait for someone to assign you work
• You remain calm when several matters require your attention at the same time
• You speak excellent Dutch and have a strong command of French
• English is a bonus, but not a requirement
