Customer Service Employee

Function

For the vacancy for a customer service assistant at our client’s company, you will be responsible for the following range of duties:

• Together with your three colleagues, you will be responsible for managing clients in sectors including steel and rail transport, and you will act as a backup for one another
• Recording and processing orders in internal systems and monitoring files from start to finish
• Co-ordinating transport and deliveries, and monitoring the arrival of ships, containers and goods
• Preparing, processing and monitoring transport and customs documents in accordance with established procedures and templates
• Entering costs and revenue, and helping to ensure accurate and timely invoicing
• Preparing reports for clients and internal stakeholders
• You’ll start between 7.30 am and 9.30 am and finish between 4 pm and 6 pm, depending on when you started

Profile

For the vacancy for a customer service assistant at our client’s organisation, you’ll recognise yourself in the following competencies:

• You have had an initial positive experience in customer service, preferably in the logistics sector
• You must be able to express yourself professionally in Dutch and English; French is an advantage but not essential
• You’re good at working as part of a team
• Knowledge of customs formalities is an advantage; an interest in this area is essential
• You have strong communication skills and can handle responsibility well
