Expedition manager early shift

What will your duties look like in the position of shipping manager early shift at our client located in Ostend?

• You take care of daily transport planning and ensure that all trips leave on time and correctly
• You manage dispatchers, drivers and subcontractors and closely monitor their operation
• You are present during the early shift (3 am - 11 am) to monitor everything
• You ensure correct administration (transport documents, monitoring trips, etc.)
• You are the point of contact for drivers and ensure proper guidance and follow-up
• You monitor the costs of transport and help think about optimisations
• During busy periods, you may also have to drive the truck at times (driving licence C is a must!)

Profile

What profile is our client located in Ostend looking for for the position of expedition manager early shift?

• You have experience in a logistics or transport environment
• If you can present years of experience as a driver and would like more stability and responsibility, you too are eligible
• A C driving licence is an absolute must
• You have initial work experience in managing people or a strong ambition to do so
• You enjoy working actively during busy periods
• You are fluent in Dutch and English, knowledge of French is a plus
• You have no problem working from 3 am to 11 am every day (no weekend work)
