Logistics & Export Co-ordinator

Function

For the position of Logistics & Export Co-ordinator You will be responsible for the following:

• The drafting of, monitoring and adjusting production planning based on orders, capacity and delivery times;
• The organising container bookings and transport in collaboration with shipping lines, freight forwarders and other logistics partners;
• The monitoring schedules and deadlines, so that goods are ready for dispatch in good time;
• The preparation, checking and following up on export and transport documents to ensure that the administrative procedures are carried out correctly;
• Co-ordinating collaboration between production, the warehouse, transport and export to ensure a smooth flow of goods;
• The tracking container shipments from departure to arrival and the timely identification of any anomalies;
• Proactively resolving delays, changes or other operational challenges to ensure the continuity of the process;
• Maintaining clear and professional communication with colleagues, customers and external partners.

Profile

Are you the Logistics & Export Co-ordinator what we are looking for?

• You are responsible and meticulous and monitors your cases from start to finish;
• You are proactive, takes the initiative and does not wait for a problem to arise;
• You’re good at planning, organisation and follow-up and keeps track of multiple cases;
• You are flexible and able to cope with stress and are able to adapt quickly to changes or unexpected situations;
• You communicate clear and professional with colleagues, customers and external partners;
• You have an affinity for logistics and production. Experience in exports, container transport or international logistics is an advantage;
• You have a a good knowledge of Dutch, English and French, both spoken and written. Knowledge of these three languages is important for smooth collaboration with clients and partners.

Organisation

Our Kortrijk-based client is a company engaged in the trading, packaging and distribution of fresh and frozen agricultural products, such as potatoes, vegetables and fruit. It supplies these products to retail, catering, food service and wholesale customers, both nationally and internationally. They are also a mandate holder of several production sites.
