Fleet Manager

Function

If you dream of being in charge of a modern fleet of around 80 vehicles and 150 trailers, then this is your chance! As Fleet Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping the transport operation running smoothly. From maintenance to cost management, you’ll ensure that everything runs smoothly, efficiently and in accordance with the rules. You’ll work closely with our in-house workshop and planners to maximise vehicle availability. Are you ready to get the wheels turning?

• Management and monitoring of the entire fleet, including tractor units, semi-trailers and trailers.
• Working with the in-house garage for maintenance, repairs and MOTs.
• Coordinate with the schedule to ensure vehicles remain available.
• Monitoring maintenance schedules, inspections and statutory requirements.
• Analysing consumption, wear and tear, and costs, and making suggestions for improvement.
• Optimising vehicle management processes.
• Maintaining contact with suppliers, inspection bodies and external partners.
• Administrative follow-up of insurance files, inspections and documentation.
• Tyre management and processing of breakdown service invoices.

Profile

Are you passionate about transport technology and can you turn chaos into order? Then we’re looking for you! With your organisational skills and technical background, you’ll ensure our fleet is always ready for action. Check below to see if you’re our ideal candidate:

• You have a keen interest in transport and engineering.
• You are confident in your organisational abilities and work in a structured manner.
• Communication comes naturally to you; you interact easily with drivers, planners and technicians.
• Solution-focused thinking and a touch of efficiency are your specialities.
• You have at least 5 years’ experience in fleet management, the automotive sector or the transport sector.
• A basic understanding of maintenance and technology is certainly an advantage.
• A CE driving licence is useful, but not compulsory.
