Forwarder Export

Function

For this role, we are looking for an experienced export forwarder who manages files independently:

• You will be responsible for managing shipping files from A to Z, export
• You will receive administrative support from the colleague assistant dispatcher, but will of course also jump in yourself where necessary (also Waivers, veterinary documents, etc)
• Arranging all transport, customs formalities and sea freight
• Follow-up of offers
• Maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external partners: customers, shipping companies, transporters, FAVV, customs agent,...

Profile

Who are we looking for in this role?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an economics or logistics field
• 5 to 10 years' experience in freight forwarding
• Administrative strong and an eye for detail
• Fluent communication and commercial skills
• Fluent in both Dutch and English; knowledge of Polish or Spanish is a plus
• Willingness to work in a small team and make a long-term commitment in a stable environment.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Independence and a proactive working attitude.

Organisation

The company provides full logistics services for one of the largest private traders in the world. While the trader is based in the Netherlands, logistics has been done from Antwerp for 35 years. The office is located at a prime location near the Antwerp Eilandje. Ideal for anyone who likes to work close to the historic city centre.

It is a team of 12 top players in Antwerp. A colleague is retiring this year, hence the open position.
