Freight Forwarder Road

Function

As Freight Forwarder Road You will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and planning of road transport operations. You will liaise with customers, drivers, subcontractors and internal colleagues, and ensure that available capacity is utilised to the full.

Your duties include:

• Processing and entering transport orders;
• Planning and coordinating journeys;
• Allocating jobs to drivers and subcontractors;
• Confirming and following up on transport orders;
• Monitoring ongoing shipments and making adjustments where necessary;
• Processing the necessary transport documents;
• Contributing ideas to ensure efficient and smooth operational processes.

Profile

You have some initial relevant experience in freight forwarding or road transport and you thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

In addition:

• Do you have knowledge of transport planning and operational procedures;
• Experience with a Transport Management System (TMS) is a plus;
• Speak and write fluently Dutch and English;
• Do you work accurately and in an organised manner?;
• Are you good at setting priorities and adapting quickly;
• Do you communicate easily with customers, colleagues and external partners;
• Are you solution-oriented and do you enjoy taking responsibility?.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience would be an advantage.
