Infrastructure draughtsman

Function

For a specialist surveying and engineering consultancy in Puurs-Sint-Amands we are looking for a infrastructure draftsman who helps to deliver high-quality road, sewerage and surveying projects. In this role, you will translate survey data, designs and site information into accurate technical drawings that are used in a wide range of construction and infrastructure projects.

You’ll work on a variety of drafting tasks every day and will be given the opportunity to further develop your role in line with your interests and strengths. You can also count on a working environment where precision, technical insight and a practical approach are key.

Your range of tasks:

• Preparation of drawings for road and sewerage works
• Preparation of survey drawings and technical plans
• Creating 2D drawings based on scans and point clouds
• Assistance with drawing up bills of quantities, if required
• Occasionally going out into the field as an assistant surveyor, if you think that would be an interesting way to broaden your skills
• Identifying technical omissions and contributing ideas on how to structure the plan correctly

You will mainly work from Monday to Friday and contribute to projects for both public and private clients. Within the team, you are expected to be able to work independently and meticulously, with an eye for detail and the ability to collaborate smoothly with colleagues and relevant partners.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a draughtsman with 3 to 5 years’ experience or a highly relevant qualification in architectural, technical or surveying draughtsmanship. You have a clear affinity for infrastructure, surveying and technical drawing, and you thrive in a role where accuracy is essential.

Your profile:

• You have a passion for architectural, technical or surveying draughtsmanship
• You are interested in infrastructure projects such as roads and sewerage systems
• You can work easily with drawing programmes such as AutoCAD, BricsCAD and/or Pythagoras
• You have experience of, or have undertaken training in, architectural, technical or surveying draughtsmanship
• You have a good knowledge of computers and are comfortable working with digital drawing and design software
• You communicate well in Dutch
• Experience with measurement reports is an advantage
• You are in possession of a driving licence B
• You are meticulous, keen to learn and able to organise your work independently
