Function

As Logistics Manager te Zeebrugge ben je een belangrijke schakel in de dagelijkse opvolging van de transportactiviteiten.

• You follow cargo and transport meticulously from departure to arrival.
• You monitor the cargo temperatures and takes action when there are any discrepancies.
• If you have any problems relating to temperature, customs, documents or unloading You’re looking for a quick solution.
• You’ll be in direct contact with external carriers, customers and other stakeholders.
• You ensure that everyone has the correct information and follow up on agreements that have been made.
• You keep on top of things, even when several things are happening at once.
• You take a proactive approach and ensure that problems are resolved as quickly as possible.

Profile

We are looking for someone who has some experience in logistics and feels at home in an environment where thinking on your feet and taking responsibility are important.

• You have at least several years’ experience in logistics or transport.
• Experience within intermodal transport is a major asset.
• You are familiar with the dynamics of a logistics environment and know that things don’t always go to plan.
• You are able to cope with stress, a good communicator and solution-oriented.
• You are keen to take responsibility and don’t just sit back and wait when a problem arises.
• You have a hands-on mentality and are flexible when the situation calls for it.
• You get on well with computer systems and administrative follow-up.
• You communicate professionally with both customers and hauliers.
• The person currently in charge of these activities is due to retire in June 2027, which means there is plenty of time for a thorough handover and training.

Organisation

Our client is essentially a transport and logistics company in the port of Zeebrugge. They organise the transport of goods both nationally and internationally using their own or contracted lorries, container chassis, curtain-sided trailers and trailers.
