Mechanical Design Engineer

Function

• You will translate technical designs and specifications into detailed production drawings.
• You will work closely with the engineering team to optimise designs from a technical perspective.
• You adapt designs where necessary, whilst ensuring their technical quality and feasibility.
• You’ll actively contribute ideas on improvements in terms of efficiency, quality and manufacturability.
• You will monitor the production process and liaise closely with staff on the shop floor.
• You process feedback from production and translate this into specific improvements to the designs.
• You will ensure that technical documentation remains accurate, complete and up to date.
• You ensure the accuracy and quality of your drawings.
• Drawing on your expertise, you will contribute to the further optimisation of processes and products.

Profile

• You hold a Master’s degree in a technical subject or have equivalent experience.
• You have at least 5 years’ experience in technical drawing or mechanical design.
• Ideally, you will have experience with Creo Direct Modelling.
• You have a good knowledge of mechanical engineering and stainless steel structures, or a keen interest in specialising further in this field.
• You have strong analytical skills and technical insight.
• You work accurately and have a keen eye for detail.
• You are critical and proactively contribute ideas on possible improvements.
• You like to take the initiative and don’t just sit back and wait when you see a better solution.
• You are a team player who works well with others, but who can also take responsibility independently.
• You have a passion for engineering and derive satisfaction from high-quality, practically feasible designs.
