Night Shift Team Leader

Function

As a night-shift team lead in Roeselare, you are the point of contact. You ensure that your team is fully aware of what needs to be done, that the schedule runs smoothly and that the logistical processes stay on track.

Some of your responsibilities include:

• You coach and motivate a team of 10 to 15 staff members and ensures that everyone has the right support to get started.
• You give clear instructions, monitors productivity and encourages your staff to develop further.
• You will be responsible for the staff planning and work allocation, taking into account staffing levels, priorities and workload. To this end, you will work closely with HR.
• You follow the a close look at logistics processes and takes proactive action whenever problems or anomalies arise.
• You ensure that safety, quality and HR procedures are properly complied with.
• You will report on the night shift’s performance and actively contribute ideas on improvements and optimisations.
• In addition, you will play an important role in the implementation of new processes and systems and ensure that these are implemented smoothly within the team.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for someone who is good at managing people and enjoys getting stuck in. Someone who keeps a cool head, takes the initiative and brings the necessary drive, even at night.

• You have a first experience in people management, preferably within a logistics, manufacturing or operational environment.
• You communicate fluently in the Dutch, both verbally and in writing. You also have a good grounding English and French.
• You are well-organised, can cope well under pressure and keeps a cool head when the workload increases.
• You enjoy working independent, takes the initiative and isn’t afraid to make decisions when necessary.
• You are flexible and committed and steps in where necessary to ensure that the night shift runs smoothly.
• You get on well with Microsoft Office. Experience with SAP? Then you’ve already got an extra ace up your sleeve!
