Process Engineer

Function

• You will analyse and optimise operational processes, from the receipt of goods through to assembly, quality control, packaging and order picking.
• You will identify bottlenecks, waste and sources of error, and lead improvement initiatives focusing on efficiency, lead time, capacity and quality.
• You will standardise working methods and collaborate with departments including R&D, production, logistics and quality assurance to draw up clear documentation and control plans.
• You redesign workflows to make processes faster, more reliable and error-free.
• You’ll help devise smarter ways of organising picking, packing, staging and storage to minimise time wasted.
• You’ll help to make better use of systems, thereby reducing manual steps, data errors and inefficiencies.
• You have a curious, AI-driven mindset and are actively seeking digital tools that speed up analysis, reporting, documentation and problem-solving.
• You will define and monitor operational KPIs such as productivity, picking accuracy, scrap/rework, OTIF and stock accuracy.
• You will work closely with the planning, procurement, quality and shop floor teams to ensure that improvements are tailored to the day-to-day reality.

Profile

• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Supply Chain or a similar technical discipline.
• You have at least 3 years’ relevant experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing, assembly or logistics environment is an asset.
• You have a strong focus on Lean or continuous improvement; a Green Belt would be an advantage.
• You have an affinity for ERP/WMS systems and see them as a tool for improving processes.
• You’re digitally savvy and keen to learn about AI and modern tools.
• You are analytical, are proficient in Excel and pick up new tools quickly.
• You have a pragmatic, hands-on approach and enjoy being closely involved with the shop floor.
• You are a strong coordinator and communicator who can get people on board without formal authority.
• You speak fluent Dutch and English.
