Project Engineer

Function

As Project Engineer BIM, you will fulfil an essential role within our construction team. Our client, a renowned class 8 contractor and leader in the construction sector, is known for high-quality construction projects in which sustainability and innovation are key. In this role, you will support projects in terms of work preparation and supervise them from tender to completion. Your responsibilities include:

• Developing detailed and technically correct 3D (and 4D, 5D, 6D) BIM models in Revit.
• Performing quality checks and coordination of BIM models, including clash checks and integration of various disciplines.
• Preparation of site layout plans, such as installation of shack, crane and fencing.
• Spotting and fixing errors before they occur in practice.
• Work preparation, such as determining the right materials, checking quantities and coordinating with suppliers.
• Applying for licences, such as environmental permits, and coordinating utility services.
• Documenting and analysing progress and quality on site, e.g. by using drones or 360° cameras.
• Merging all plans into one structured whole and coordinating them with implementation.

You will work closely with your colleagues and actively contribute to improving technical feasibility, optimising material use, and preserving existing structures in renovation projects.

Profile

For the position of Project Engineer BIM, they are looking for someone who is technically and practically strong and can work well in a team. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
• You have proven working experience with BIM modelling within the construction industry.
• Extensive knowledge of Revit and Navisworks is required.
• Knowledge of Recap Pro, Dynamo or Power BI is considered an important asset.
• You can critically analyse what is technically and practically feasible.
• You are strong in communication and can explain complex technical choices clearly.
• You work in a planned and structured way.

Working on location (Brussels, Leuven, Mechelen, Antwerp and Limburg) once or twice a week is no problem for you.
