Project Manager
Function
As a project manager, you will oversee refurbishment and follow-up projects throughout Belgium and ensure that each project runs smoothly from start to completion. You will develop the autonomy needed to manage several smaller projects simultaneously. You are a strong, thoughtful thinker with a practical mindset, someone who can quickly maintain an overview and make decisions based on common sense.
Your day-to-day tasks will include, amongst other things:
- Monitoring projects and files from start to finish, with a focus on quality, timing and progress.
- Drawing up and monitoring the schedule, including coordinating between different interventions and teams.
- Ensure that materials and resources are available and, where necessary, place or follow up on orders yourself.
- Accurately record and process hours, consumption and materials for administrative purposes.
- Prepare order forms and enter them into the correct system.
- Communicate site and project information clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contributing ideas on the practical approach to a range of issues, such as maintenance, fire damage, leak detection and claims relating to residential properties.
- In the long term, working independently from the Limburg region, with sufficient support during the start-up phase.
You’ll start in a role centred on site management, with scope to progress into broader project management. It’s a varied role involving projects of varying sizes, often in renovation contexts, where your ability to see the bigger picture, your reasoning skills and your enthusiasm will really make a difference.
Profile
For this role, our client is looking for someone with a solid grounding in site or project management and, above all, a strong desire to develop further. Experience carries more weight than a qualification, although relevant training is increasingly valued. You do not need to be an expert in procurement, but you must be accurate, practical and have strong organisational skills.
Your profile:
- Initial experience in a similar role, for example as a site manager, project supervisor or technical coordinator.
- You can manage files, planning and follow-up from start to finish.
- You think logically, keep track of everything and switch quickly between different tasks.
- You have a hands-on approach and are not afraid to take the initiative where necessary.
- You are sufficiently meticulous in your administrative work to keep accurate records of hours, materials and purchase orders.
- You are a good communicator and enjoy working with colleagues, partners and operational teams.
- Experience in leak detection, refurbishment projects or claims handling is an advantage.
- A degree in construction, engineering or a related field would be an advantage, but is not an absolute requirement.
Above all, we are looking for someone with a sense of responsibility, a practical outlook and the maturity to take charge of projects independently in the long term.
