Function

As quality officer inland navigation You play an important role in ensuring the safety and quality of this innovative shipping company with a family atmosphere. You will work from our office in Wijnegem, BE, and partly on location in Zwijndrecht (NL). Your tasks include:

• Supporting a healthy safety culture.
• Performing accurate pre-BIQ checks.
• Supervising BIQ inspections.
• Working with the quality department and nautical and technical services.
• Report to the QHSE manager on findings and areas for improvement.
• Contribute to improving safety levels by identifying and discussing areas for improvement during crew days.

You will do all this within an environment where cooperation, development and responsibility are key.

Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic quality officer inland navigation with the following features:

• At least a secondary education completed.
• You have a highly developed safety awareness and show this in your work.
• Experience with or affinity for the inland navigation sector or similar sectors; e.g. as a BIQ inspector, or because you have sailed yourself.
• Knowledge of regulations such as ADN, ISGINTT, CDNI, or willingness to study these. Familiarity with ISO standards is a plus.
• You speak fluent Dutch and German, and preferably also English.
