Sea freight forwarder

Function

For the vacancy for a Sea Freight Forwarding Agent at our client’s company, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• You will liaise with customers regarding sea freight consignments
• You will be responsible for booking, tracking and monitoring shipments with shipping lines, carriers and external partners
• You enter all the details into the TMS system and pass on the necessary information to the customs team
• You will oversee invoicing and data quality and liaise with the internal teams
• You will ensure that compliance guidelines relating to safety are followed

Profile

For the vacancy for a Sea Freight Forwarding Agent, you should recognise yourself in the following competencies:

• You have gained some initial, positive work experience in sea freight planning
• You can express yourself professionally in Dutch or English
• You are meticulous, have a customer-focused mindset and work well with colleagues
• You’re comfortable using a computer, and experience with IMDG and/or Codex is an advantage, though not essential
• You can work during the day
