Solution Engineer

Function

Ben jij een technisch expert met minstens 10 jaar relevante ervaring in logistiek of logistieke automatisatie? Als ervaren Solution Engineer speel je een cruciale rol in het ontwerpen van innovatieve, klant specifieke oplossingen. Deze functie richt zich voornamelijk op het technische aspect en het ondersteunen van collega's, waarbij je jouw diepgaande kennis en expertise achter de schermen inzet. Je takenpakket omvat:

• Analyse customer data and select the most appropriate solutions, e.g. based on supplied RFQs.
• Designing technically strong concepts in 2D and 3D using tools such as Inventor, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Working closely with suppliers and customers to develop sustainable solutions.
• Preparation of detailed cost estimates and technical budgets.
• Working out and checking detailed quotations with an eye for quality and price.
• Adjunct and mentor less experienced colleagues by guiding and supporting them in developing solutions.
• Provide support in project realisation and implementation, together with project engineers during transition phases.

In this position, the emphasis is on coming up with and developing solutions, without having to constantly visit customers. If you are interested in doing so, you can, of course. Most importantly, you get energy from working out technical solutions and take on a coaching role within the team given your experience within logistics and/or logistics automation.

Profile

We are looking for an experienced and technical professional with the following qualifications:

• Ideally a bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field, preferably electromechanics or equivalent, combined with at least 10 years of relevant work experience in the sector. Knowledge of logistics or logistics automation is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Autocad, Inventor and Navisworks for 2D and 3D designs is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, with French being an added advantage.
• A creative ability and strong problem-solving skills.
• The talent to analyse complex technical challenges and support multidisciplinary teams.
• A strong technical focus combined with drive and stress resistance, where results and deadlines are key.
• Ervaring of interesse in mentorschap of coaching van minder ervaren collega’s en het ondersteunen van de andere solution engineers.

Organisation

Our client is an independent integrator of logistics automation solutions. They help company make their intralogistics processes smarter, more efficient and faster by offering tailor-made solutions. They are active in both new projects (greenfield) and retrofit projects and also offer service and maintenance. They currently employ around 90 people and are still growing.
