Stability Engineer

Function

Your responsibilities will include the following:;

• You will carry out stability and structural analyses for precast concrete structures.
• You will build and analyse calculation models in SCIA Engineer.
• You will check designs for safety and suitability for use in accordance with the applicable Eurocodes and Belgian standards.
• You will draw up technical calculation reports and validate them where necessary.
• You will work closely with draughtsmen to ensure that calculations are accurately translated into working and production drawings.
• You will liaise with clients, engineering consultancies and contractors on technical and structural issues.
• You will assist with cost estimation for complex technical projects.
• You’ll play an active part in considering the use of materials, manufacturability, transport, assembly and cost-efficiency.
• You’ll monitor projects during production and implementation and find solutions to practical challenges.

Profile

Your profile

• You hold a master’s degree in Engineering Sciences / Civil Engineering, or an equivalent engineering qualification.
• You have 3 to 5 years’ experience, preferably in structural stability, concrete structures or a similar technical field.
• You have knowledge of structural stability and structural analysis; experience with precast concrete would be an advantage.
• You have a good knowledge of SCIA Engineer or are willing to learn how to use it quickly.
• You are familiar with the relevant Eurocodes and Belgian standards, or are willing to apply them actively.
• You work accurately, structured and independently.
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• You have technical and spatial insight and think beyond mere calculations.
• You communicate fluently and professionally with colleagues, customers and external partners.
• You enjoy a hands-on working environment and thrive in a setting where bespoke solutions are key.

You’ll be joining a stable, family-run SME with a strong technical reputation and several branches across Belgium. In Waasmunster, you’ll be based at the head office in a professional environment where expertise, consultation and short lines of communication are key.
