Together with your team, you ensure accurate and timely quotations for metal structures and support clients, project managers and colleagues with practical and well-founded technical advice.

You will oversee the team’s day-to-day operations, quality, efficiency and financial accuracy. In doing so, you will be responsible for:

  • Organising and prioritising the daily work schedule of the costing and estimation team.
  • Preparing, checking and optimising cost calculations and quotations for metalworking.
  • Analysing and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and customer requirements.

  • Creating efficient, engaged and constructive teamwork.
  • Initiating and implementing improvements to processes, systems and automation.
  • Monitoring relevant KPIs, such as internal satisfaction, engagement and the progress of training programmes.
  • Ensuring accurate financial processing, compliance and cost control.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a professional with at least ten years’ relevant experience in a technical consultancy, cost estimation, work planning, engineering or a similar environment. You possess the maturity required to lead a team, make decisions and, at the same time, remain closely involved in the substance of complex projects.

We generally expect the following profile:

  • A bachelor’s degree in construction engineering or a master’s degree in civil engineering, architecture or a similar technical discipline.
  • Extensive experience in cost estimation, quotations, engineering or work planning within a technical or industrial context.
  • Proven experience in managing, coaching and developing staff.
  • An interest in production processes, preferably within metalworking, such as laser cutting, bending and welding.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, combined with a hands-on and solution-focused approach.
  • Experience with ERP systems, costing or planning software, and a strong digital mindset.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent command of Dutch and a professional level of French; knowledge of English is an advantage.
  • A structured approach to work and the ability to set priorities in an environment characterised by varying customer requirements and deadlines.
  • A collaborative leadership style that provides your staff with clarity, feedback and opportunities for development.

Organisation

  • Group insurance and a pension scheme.
  • Non-statutory benefits, tailored to the role and the relevant company policy.
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements where the role and operational requirements allow.
  • Support for personal development, training and further technical or managerial progression.
  • Career progression opportunities within an international organisation with a broad base of expertise.
  • Possible additional benefits, such as health-related insurance or other local benefits, depending on the specific terms and conditions of employment.
