Technical Draughtsman

Function

As a Technical Draughtsman, you will be based in the Ghent area and will be responsible for the following:

• Producing innovative technical designs and detailed drawings for a wide range of projects.
• Working closely with enthusiastic engineers and project managers to find the best solutions.
• Ensuring consistency and a high level of accuracy across all technical documents and designs.
• Critically assess, amend and optimise designs where necessary.
• Identifying bottlenecks and proposing smart solutions to the parties involved.
• Actively applying your knowledge of CAD software and maintaining technical standards within the organisation.

Profile

To be successful in the role of Technical Draughtsman, you will need the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant degree in architecture.
• At least 3 to 5 years’ work experience as a Technical Draughtsman.
• Extensive experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
• A keen eye for detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage several projects at the same time.
• Fluent in Dutch and, preferably, a basic knowledge of technical English terminology.
