Technical Draughtsman / Product Developer

Function

For a growing technical environment in Gingelom we are looking for a Technical Draughtsman / Product Developer who enjoys switching between drafting, product improvement and practical implementation. In this role, you will translate ideas and technical requirements into clear drawings, documentation and workable solutions. You will contribute ideas on innovation, support production and work closely with various departments to ensure projects progress smoothly and accurately.

Your role is varied and combines analytical insight with a hands-on approach:

• Developing and adapting technical drawings and product documentation.
• Preparing production and working drawings for internal departments.
• Supporting work planning and technical documentation.
• Developing and testing new products, materials and applications.
• Improving existing products, processes and production techniques.
• Development of prototypes and test set-ups.
• Managing and optimising technical product data, bills of materials and item structures.
• Supporting automation, digitalisation and improvement projects.
• Work closely with production, planning, procurement, sales and management.

You will be given the opportunity to help build an efficient and forward-looking technical operation. Attention to detail, a willingness to learn and a healthy dose of initiative are important in this regard, as is the desire to tackle technical issues in a practical and well-considered manner.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a candidate with 0 to 3 years’ experience who combines technical insight with a structured approach to work. You don’t need to have years of experience just yet, but you do need a keen interest in technology, product development and draughting.

Ideally, your profile should look like this:

• You have completed a technical degree, for example in mechanics, product development, industrial sciences, civil engineering or a similar field.
• You are able to read technical drawings and, ideally, also create or modify them in a CAD environment.
• You work meticulously and have an eye for detail when it comes to drawings, parts lists and technical documentation.
• You have a solution-oriented mindset and are able to translate technical input into feasible solutions.
• You feel at ease liaising with production, procurement, planning and other internal teams.
• You are keen to learn and open to new tools, processes and digitalisation.
• You take responsibility for your work and are able to carry out tasks independently within a clearly defined framework.
• You are fluent in Dutch; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.

Furthermore, enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to help drive improvements are just as important as a fully detailed CV. Candidates with some initial relevant experience or a strong technical work placement are also encouraged to apply.
