Technical attendant

Function

For Technical attendant at a warm and welcoming family organisation in Geraardsbergen Are you looking for a role where technical skills, organisation and working with people come together seamlessly?.

In this role, you will be a key link between customers, suppliers, production and the team on the shop floor. You’ll be given responsibility, a varied role and the opportunity to further develop your technical expertise within an environment where short lines of communication and clear agreements make the working day just that little bit more enjoyable.

Your range of tasks:

• Placing orders with suppliers and/or the production department;
• Independently drawing up and carrying out the technical preparation of projects;
• Follow and correctly apply the technical specifications for windows and doors;
• Act as the point of contact for assigned projects in sectors including aluminium and timber;
• Maintaining contact with suppliers and customers in a professional, solution-focused manner;
• Contributing ideas for practical solutions and monitoring the progress of cases;
• Providing occasional support in the showroom to private customers, without this becoming your main role;
• Working alongside colleagues in a close-knit team where a hands-on approach and quality go hand in hand.

Profile

Who are you?

• Preferably experience in the finishing sector or some initial relevant technical experience;
• A basic knowledge of woodworking techniques or a background in interior design would be a great bonus;
• Good communication skills and a sociable, customer-focused nature;
• You’re a real team player and can switch easily between different tasks;
• The ability to cope with stress and to prioritise effectively;
• A desire to learn, to take the initiative and to develop your technical skills further;
• You are comfortable using, or have a basic knowledge of, drawing programmes;
• A basic knowledge of French is useful, but not essential;
• You can work independently, but you also thrive in a warm, friendly group atmosphere;
• You enjoy bringing structure to files and following up on matters.

A qualification is less important than the right attitude, a willingness to learn and a keen interest in the technical aspects of windows and doors.
