Transport clerk

Function

As transport clerk You will ensure that transport runs smoothly; you will also be responsible for the following tasks on a daily basis:

• You arrange international transport to deliver the finished fabrics to the customer – 75% is going to the UK;
• You will be responsible for preparing the transport documentation and dispatch notes
• If necessary, you should draw up the customs documents;
• You will be responsible for invoicing relating to transport and will also handle part of the general invoicing;
• You will indirectly manage three warehouse staff and two quality control officers;
  • You provide them with the necessary documents, draw up the loading schedule for them, and carry out additional quality checks with them at the customer’s request;
• You act as the link between the warehouse and the customers.

Profile

Are you the transport clerk what we are looking for?

• Ideally, you will already have some initial experience in a similar role;
  • An enthusiastic school leaver is certainly also eligible;
• You’re hands-on and assertive – you contribute ideas and want to move forward together;
• You can express yourself fluently in Dutch and English and have a basic knowledge of French;
• You are able to cope well with stress and adapt quickly to changes;
• You are familiar with MS Office.
