Transport Manager for various locations

Function

Transport Manager wanted in Flanders! As Transport Manager, you will have overall responsibility for a transport division operating on a national scale within a leading waste management company. You will combine strategic insight with strong operational skills and contribute to sustainable solutions by optimising processes, teams and results. You will manage approximately 140 staff and be responsible for efficient capacity management, compliance with laws and regulations, and achieving performance indicators. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including the Transport Director, and develop improvement projects in the areas of digitalisation, process optimisation and collaboration. Your place of work is located at various sites across Belgium.

Profile

What we are looking for:

• Experience and knowledge: You have a bachelor’s or master’s level of education, with 5–10 years’ relevant experience in transport, logistics or an operational environment.
• Leadership: Proven experience in leading teams and the ability to motivate people to work together towards shared goals.
• Language skills: You are fluent in both Dutch and French.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel regularly between different sites in Belgium.
• Problem-solving: Analytical skills to identify bottlenecks and resolve them systematically.
• Flexibility: You feel at ease in a dynamic environment where entrepreneurship and sustainability are key.
