Transport planner

Function

For the Transport Planner vacancy at our client’s company, you will be responsible for the following range of duties:

• Together with a team of 15 Transport Planners and Dispatchers, you will be responsible for ensuring that the journeys of 100 in-house drivers and those of our external partners run smoothly
• You’ll start out in the role of Dispatcher for the first few months to get to know all the customers, journeys and drivers well
• They have covered lorries, refrigerated trailers and combination trailers
• When you first start as a Dispatcher, you’ll monitor the drivers’ journeys based on the schedule
• The journeys are spread across the Benelux countries, Germany and northern France

Profile

For the Transport Planner vacancy at our client’s company, you should recognise yourself in the following competencies:

• You have already had your first successful experience as a Transport Planner working with your own drivers
• You can express yourself professionally in Dutch and English
• You’re good at keeping track of things and stay calm during busy periods
• You are willing to spend some time familiarising yourself with the role of Dispatcher first, so that you can get to know the workflow, the company and the customers properly
