Transport planner

Function

As a transport planner, you will be responsible for the tasks listed below and will be part of a team of four planners:

• You schedule full loads for around 20 to 25 lorries;
• You take into account margins, profitability and the customer’s requirements;
• You will be responsible for organising and monitoring transport orders to and from France and throughout the Benelux;
• If any problems arise, you’ll be the one who, as the driver, will assist the customer;
• Once a month, you’ll be on call for a week, together with your colleagues.

Profile

As a transport planner, you possess the following qualities:

• If you already have experience as a transport planner in groupage, that’s a real bonus;
• You have a good knowledge of the geography of Europe, and particularly of the regions of France;
• You can manage drivers from abroad;
• You have a flair for languages – written and spoken Dutch, English and French;
• You are confident using a computer and are keen to learn and get to grips with their ERP system;
• You have the necessary level of courage and resilience to deliver the goods to their destination;
• Negotiation skills.
