Transport Planner – Follow-up Limburg

Function

Our client is a dynamic family-run business with a history dating back to 1958 and a strong reputation in the logistics sector; as Transport Planner – Follow-up in Beringen, a key role in the day-to-day monitoring of transport flows.

You will help to ensure smooth, customer-focused and efficient planning within an international environment where quality, flexibility and collaboration are key.

In this role, you will oversee the operational monitoring of transport operations and ensure that customers, drivers and the central planning department are always kept accurately and promptly informed. You will actively contribute ideas for solutions, maintain an overview when priorities shift, and help to ensure the optimal deployment of resources.

Your main tasks:

• Maintain contact with customers and ensure that reports, capacity requests and any issues are communicated correctly.
• To guide drivers and support them with operational queries or issues.
• Identify issues in customer planning and report on them clearly.
• Help optimise routes and/or vehicle allocation to maximise efficiency and service.
• Coordinate and liaise with the central planning department in Weiswampach.
• Contribute to accurate and timely administrative follow-up in line with the schedule.

In this role, you’ll work shifts, depending on the rota, between 4.00 pm and midnight or between 00:00 and 08:00

Profile

For this role in Beringen, we are looking for a motivated candidate with some initial relevant experience or a keen interest in transport and planning. You do not need to have years of experience, but you should be someone who learns quickly, takes responsibility and adapts easily in a dynamic environment.

What we expect from you:

• Ideally, you will have experience in the transport sector, or you will be highly motivated to develop your skills in this field.
• You speak fluently Dutch and French; knowledge of English is a plus.
• You get on well with MS Office and other relevant software tools.
• You have excellent communication skills and are able to convey information clearly and professionally.
• You remain calm and solution-oriented under time pressure or when faced with unexpected changes.
• You are willing to work flexible hours, including shifts.
• You have your own car so you can get to the workplace easily.
