Customs declarant

Function

For the vacancy of Customs Declarant at our client’s company, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Handling all customs declarations as required
• Correctly carrying out and documenting the administrative formalities relating to goods entering and leaving bonded warehouses
• Maintaining contact with customers, warehouses, customs and other relevant parties
• Identifying opportunities for improvement within our own processes and contributing ideas on how to optimise them
• Supporting the correct use of relevant (export) documentation and certificates
• You will work daytime hours from Monday to Friday on a 37-hour rota

Profile

For the vacancy for a Customs Declarant at our client’s company, you should recognise yourself in the following competencies:

• You have had your first successful experience as a customs agent
• You have knowledge of customs legislation and the calculation of import duties and other charges
• You are meticulous and have strong communication skills
• You can express yourself professionally in Dutch and English, French is a plus
