Insurance Advisor
Function
As an Insurance Adviser, you will become a familiar face to customers at an independent branch. You will guide them through their insurance needs and play an active part in building a sustainable customer portfolio. You will also be given the opportunity to expand your role further, for example into investments.
Tasks
- Advising customers on insurance solutions that suit their personal circumstances
- Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
- Actively following up with existing customers and addressing their insurance needs
- Identifying new business opportunities during customer meetings
- Independently following up on cases and appointments
- Thinking alongside customers and taking the conversation beyond the original question
- Working with colleagues within the firm to provide clients with the most comprehensive financial advice possible
- To explore a second area, such as investments, in due course
Important: The focus is on consultancy and production. Claims management is not part of this role.
Profile
You’re sociable, business-minded and, above all, someone who wants to get ahead. You don’t need to be a smooth-talking salesperson. You do, however, need to be someone who takes the initiative, isn’t afraid to approach customers and enjoys delivering results.
You recognise yourself (largely) in the following:
- You must have at least a bachelor’s degree
- Experience in the insurance or financial sector is a major asset
- Having a PCP qualification is a bonus; undertaking PCP training is certainly something to discuss
- You have a commercial mindset, but you prioritise providing advice over hard selling
- You find it easy to connect with people and have a good sense of what a customer needs
- You work independently and take the initiative without being asked
- You stay calm when the pressure mounts and know how to prioritise
- You have the drive to go for results
- You are flexible, enjoy working with others and help to create a positive team atmosphere
- You speak excellent Dutch and have a strong command of French
- Knowledge of English is an advantage, but not a requirement
If some of the above are outside your area of expertise and you’re unsure whether to apply, don’t let that put you off – please get in touch with us to discuss this further at finance.aalst@ctrl-f.be or on +32 9 240 99 60.
