Logistics Officer

Function

For our client in Lummen We are looking for a Logistics Officer. In this role, you will act as a crucial link between sales, administration and logistics operations. You will be responsible for setting up new accounts correctly, processing commercial deals in the system in a timely and accurate manner, and ensuring that all associated documentation is complete and correct. Thanks to your attention to detail, critical thinking and efficient follow-up, the logistics process runs smoothly and reliably.

You will be working in a dynamic and international environment where collaboration, a service-oriented approach and continuous improvement are key. You’ll move seamlessly between administrative tasks, internal consultations and supporting logistics planning. In doing so, you’ll safeguard the interests of both the commercial teams and the back office, and ensure that information is processed accurately, completely and within the agreed deadlines.

Your key responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing accounts and account administration from start to finish, including files, licences and Green List contracts.
• Accurate processing of information sheets and documents, with up-to-date management of master data for customers, suppliers and raw materials.
• Daily monitoring of the inbox and commercial enquiries, including the accurate and timely recording of deals in the ERP system.
• Supporting logistics operations by managing transport documentation and providing back-up to the water and road transport coordinators.
• Fluency in multiple languages and an active contribution to process optimisation and efficient operations.

Profile

For the role of Logistics Officer at our client’s premises in Lummen We are looking for a meticulous and committed professional with 5 to 10 years’ relevant experience in an administrative back-office, sales support or commercial support role. You are highly organised, think critically and are solution-oriented, and are able to cope easily with a working environment where priorities can change rapidly.

Your profile:

• You have a bachelor’s degree level of thinking.
• You are assertive and think in a business-oriented way, without losing sight of the back-office’s objectives.
• You have an interest in logistics documents, transport processes, quality standards or regulations; experience in these areas would be an advantage.
• You communicate professionally in Dutch, French and English; knowledge of German would be an asset.
• You are customer- and service-oriented and can switch easily between various internal and external contacts.
• You take the initiative, think in a solution-oriented way and enjoy contributing to continuous process improvement.

Offer

For the position of Logistics Officer offers our client in Lummen the following package:

• A gross salary based on experience, ranging from €3,500 to €4,000.
• Meal vouchers of €7 per day worked.
• Eco-vouchers with a maximum value of €250 per year.
