Site manager demolition works

Function

As site manager, you are the central point of contact for one or more projects, from start to completion. You ensure that everything runs like clockwork and that the team performs optimally every day.

Your responsibilities include:

• Planning and organising work, both technical and organisational;
• Managing the site team, including foremen and workers, focusing on motivation, safety and efficiency;
• Participation in site meetings and internal consultations to ensure all processes run smoothly;
• Coordinate and communicate with all parties involved, such as customers, suppliers, study agencies and subcontractors;
• Technical monitoring of the site, identifying risks and opportunities and making appropriate decisions.
• Report to the project leader or project manager and contribute to a positive and enthusiastic working atmosphere.

Profile

• You have a bachelor's degree in structural engineering or land surveying, or are an industrial structural engineer;
• Relevant experience in an equivalent position may be considered equivalent;
• You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in demolition, remediation and/or earthworks;
• You are a born planner with smooth organisational skills;
• You have a very good command of both Dutch and French;
• You are handy with computers and pick up new IT programmes quickly;
• You have a driving licence B;
• You are flexible, stress-resistant and focused on meeting deadlines;
• As a people manager, you communicate smoothly, constructively and consistently with all internal and external parties and know how to manage your team effectively;
• You combine maturity and alertness with drive, allowing you to quickly spot opportunities and risks on site.
• With your results-oriented approach and practical insight, you can handle changing priorities and a variable workload without sacrificing accuracy and diligence.

Organisation

Our client is an established player in the infrastructure sector and has grown into a total partner for demolition, earthworks, remediation, infrastructure works and recycling of construction debris. For their demolition department, they are looking for reinforcement, more specifically a site manager. The focus is currently on large-scale, specialised demolition projects in and around Brussels.

• A full-time contract of indefinite duration;
• A 40-hour/week regime, with 20 statutory leave days and 12 catch-up rest days;
