Technical Sales Support

Function

As a Technical Sales Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the technical preparatory phase of our projects.

Together with our Business Developer, you will visit clients to identify their technical requirements, analyse the work required and use this information to draw up an accurate quotation.

You are customer-focused, contribute ideas on technical solutions and ensure that every quotation is drawn up correctly from both a technical and financial perspective.

Technical analysis for clients:

• You will visit clients alongside our Business Developer to analyse technical queries and project requirements.
• You assess which tasks, materials and skills are required.
• You gather all the relevant information to ensure an accurate project estimate.

Drawing up quotations:

• You will draw up technical quotations based on the information gathered.
• You carry out cost calculations and accurately estimate the number of working hours required.
• You will ensure that quotations are technically accurate, complete and professionally drafted.
• You will handle the administrative follow-up of quotation requests and monitor deadlines.

Project preparation:

• You will assist with the preparation of future projects by compiling technical dossiers.
• You liaise with engineering and operational teams to ensure accurate estimates are made.
• You will ensure the smooth transfer of information once quotations have been approved.

Technical support:

• You will act as the technical point of contact during the quotation phase.
• You’ll contribute ideas on efficient and feasible technical solutions.
• You will support your colleagues with technical insights and calculations.

Follow-up & communication:

• You will liaise with customers to provide technical clarification.
• You will work closely with the Business Developer and internal project teams.
• You will ensure that enquiries are dealt with in a professional and customer-focused manner.

Profile

• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electromechanics, Engineering or a similar technical discipline. You also have at least two years’ relevant experience.
• You have a strong technical understanding and are quick to learn new applications and processes.
• You have an analytical mind and are able to translate technical information into a clear quotation.
• You work accurately and have an eye for detail.
• You have strong communication skills and feel at ease during client visits.
• You have strong organisational skills and are able to manage several projects at the same time.
• You have a solution-oriented mindset and take the initiative.
• You can work both independently and as part of a team.
• You are able to express yourself fluently in Dutch and English.
