Transport Manager

Function

What will your role involve?

• Full responsibility for managing and developing a large team of drivers and support staff
• Managing the day-to-day operations of a large vehicle fleet
• Improving operational processes, capitalising on opportunities and driving change
• Switching between strategy and practice on a daily basis by being actively involved in day-to-day operations
• Achieving growth and better results by identifying and implementing data-driven optimisations
• Close collaboration with other sites and departments to integrate logistics processes as fully as possible

Profile

Do you recognise yourself in:

• You have a higher education qualification (bachelor’s or master’s degree) and at least 15 years’ experience in transport or distribution logistics
• At least a decade’s managerial experience in a similar, results-oriented role
• You are used to working with your own fleet of vehicles and a large team of operational staff
• Strong analytical skills, experience in improving results at both an operational and financial level
• In-depth knowledge of transport data and reporting, including cost control and productivity
• Experience with modern planning and fleet management systems
• You are fluent in Dutch and English
• You hold a valid Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for the carriage of goods by road
