Transport planner

Function

What will you do?

• You will organise the daily schedule for transport assignments in your region, with a focus on efficiency and cost control
• You will coordinate available drivers, external partners and routes, and adapt the schedule flexibly when unforeseen situations arise
• You are the point of contact for customers regarding changes and always ensure a practical solution is found
• You provide drivers with comprehensive and clear information for each job
• You will coordinate the collaboration between warehouse and transport teams, both for in-house deliveries and with external parties
• You will carry out administrative follow-up on completed shipments and process everything meticulously
• You will liaise directly with customer services to ensure the flow of information runs smoothly
• You will work on a rotating day shift rota: 05:00–13:00 and 07:00–15:00, alternating between early and normal morning shifts, in consultation with your colleagues

Profile

Do you recognise yourself in:

• You have relevant experience in transport planning, or have gained a great deal of enthusiasm and knowledge through your studies or previous roles in logistics
• You have a strong sense of direction, which means you can combine routes cleverly and quickly
• You communicate fluently in Dutch and can also get by in French and English
• You keep a cool head when things get hectic and when unexpected changes occur
• Taking the initiative, contributing ideas and taking responsibility come naturally to you
• A customer-focused approach and the ability to process information accurately are your strengths
• You are able to cope with stress and come up with creative solutions when things get tough
• You’re comfortable using MS Office
